Specializing in residential and multi-family projects, with an inclination towards crisp, modern design, B Squared’s architectural approach balances form, scale, colour, durability, light and materiality to deliver exceptionally designed homes.

Brian is a registered architect and obtained a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of British Columbia in 1998. Brian has garnered a number of innovative single-family, multi-family and mixed-use commissions. Prior to this, Brian interned with some of the most notable architecture firms in Vancouver, acquiring work experience in a diverse range of typologies—single-family, high-rise tall buildings, transportation and institutional buildings—many of which have been recognized nationally and internationally.  Brian is a regular critic at the UBC School of Architecture and mentors three interns.

Alexandra Schwarz has been with B2 for over 6 years now and is an integral part of of the office’s success. Her easy going nature makes her a good point of contact for clients and city officials. She re-located to Vancouver after graduating from University of Rosenheim (Germany) with a Bachelors of Arts in Interior Architecture in 2013. Over the years Alex has worked on nearly all our projects – she is unflinching in her pursuit of design excellence. Alex spends her free time kiting, mountain biking and snowboarding – pretty much in constant motion and in defiance of gravity.
